Looks like Rotary material
Does it have that funky Mitsubishi dash and controls? 1.9 liter turbo is probably decent, but I'm guessing a 2.6 conquest would drop right in? |
i wasnt wondering what one is but alright

looks like a merkur xr4ti.....my dad had one and crashed it....turbo rwd...

the conquest motor will not fit as it is set up for RWD.... though a decent idea...
as for the Merkur yeah those are pretty sweet! I have been looking for one for as an engine donor for my 2.3 coupe... here is a pic of the interior... mine is of course I left hand drive model and my interior is basically all black.... so it looks better! lol but a bit dirtier..... I had thought about a rotary in it.... and converting it to rwd... it does have a solid axle setup in back so maybe swapping in like a Ford 7.5 or 8.8 would work or maybe an IRS setup off of a Jag or Cobra... or something like that.... |
If it's not RWD you will have a hell of a time clearing a transmission tunnel down the center unless you cut it all out. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png
A Rotary FWD would be a handfull, not a lot of torque there so it might work, but I'm not sure what you could use for a transmission. A 2.6 wouldn't bolt to that bellhousing? Just stick it sidewise. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png |
lol
well got to looking at the car.... That tunnel is pretty decent sized... maybe if I watched how I mounted the motor it may just work... or I can get a buddy to do some sheet metal work and then lay carpet over it to make it look stock or something... though this car is pretty good in the winter so I am a lil hesitant to make it RWD as I already have 2 of them.... |
