Stupid car wash!

So, the wife takes the MPV to a car wash on a 100+ degree day. Something they sprayed on the car before they washed it discolored the black finish on the mirror. It looks like it bleached it gray, kinda blotchy--you can see where the chemical ran down the mirror.



Any way to bring it back? Replace it? Dealer quoted $220-ish.

i had this happen on my motorcycle mirrors a few years back, I ended up buying some black plastic paint and painted them, you couldn't tell the difference and it held up very well

lol bring to my dealer they will warrenty them, god this place sucks sometimes. my boss gives every car goodwills

yeah the acid in the soap also does it to the mazda rims it looks like the paint melted LOL

there's no acid in the soap, they spray the acid on with little bottles, otherwise the acid would also eat the paint.
