Yes they're out, I already had the pleasure of driving one. Don't get excited, no road race report here, took it around the block once and that's it. BTW, our dealership isn't gonna be selling them, for some reason these upper management dicks don't want Viper and Ram SRT-10 certification.

From the road test i have seen, it seems that they can be tricky to drive, due to lots of torque and no weight over the rear tires. I would still expect it to do better then that though...

The guy who made the video is a tard.

The SRT10's were out this month apparently.

Part of a review

Pretty hard to tell with the shitty video quality, but it has a very similar body shape.
I raced a stock lightning at Bristol once upon a time and it ran a 13.8 and that review claims that the srt-10 was only running 13.5s.That time is also probably with magical magazine drivers so a lightning with more boost and an intake should be able to beat it.

but i've seen times as low as 13.1....so its all about driver and conditions...500hp and 500tq is hard to control

It's very simple...the dealer can make tons more money selling 10 neons than it can selling one Viper that may or may not sell within 6 months!

You guys are all forgetting that the Lightning has an automatic transmission. How hard is it to drive an automatic down the 1320? Theoretically, you should be very, very close to the magazine numbers, am I right?

There's no possible way that's an SRT-10. If it is, the driver launched in 5th.

If that was an SRT-10 then the driver must have let off..I bet it was 2-3 seconds behind the lightning

Well Damn.. This is a bit controversial. Well who wants to actually find the facts, and compare stock for stock Lightning VS SRT10. Or perhaps find a Lightning Forum and actually find out for a fact what a pulley and intake put that cars dyno line up to.. Or sit there and be lazy and debate over facts none of us have yet to post... Oh christ... **** it I'll do it.. Gotta keep moving **** outta the house today..

Well, I don't think we have to go that deep into finding things out. Pickups with manuals are hard to launch with lots of power to the rear wheels. Take a normal 1500 HEMI Ram with an automatic and floor it on damp roads and you'll smoke the rears with ease. Try the same on a dry road, and you'll learn what wheel hop is, honestly, it's horrible.

Then take a manual tranny and try this on a track versus a very competitive + modded truck and good driver. The results in that vid are just bullshit. I'm partial to the Ram, but that's either not an SRT-10, or the driver wasn't racing it.
