The skyline is a sexy car. I don't care what anyone says. The GT-S is rear wheel drive and not at all the same car as the GT-R. I would buy a GT-R in a heartbeat. The GT-S is basicilly a family car in Japan, from what I've read, even comes in four doors.

I believe that you're talking about the GT-StM which was basically a Skyline GT-S with two more doors.

Anywho, I personally love the R32 Skyline GT-R. Definitely one of my favorite cars around. Just like with any other car, these can be turned into monsters. I think the Veilside Drag R32 ran like 13 in the half-mile while the driver missed 3rd gear. As for reliability, any car that you bring up to power is going to loose reliability. Look at the Turbo FDs for instance. To say that the Skyline is overrated is probably true, but to blantantly say that they suck is definitely not granting credit where it is due.

I am a fan of the skyline. The website www.evolutionimports.com has various skylines for under 20K in the US. It will come down to a skyline or a subaru sti when i get commissioned as a 2lt in the army. I will own one of the two and keep my seven. I need the extra space for when my family arrives. I'm never going to a minivan or suv. SO 4 doors appeals to me. Also, I do agree that sometimes the skylines are overhyped. A friend of mine can't mention the skyline without saying the fast and the furious. HOrrible movie. I"m done.

Dude...don't even mention "Skyline" and "Fast & Furious" in the same sentence ever again. That's just cruel...

I don't like heavy AWD *****.....I wonder, how hard is it to swap in the RB26 from the GTR into a regular GTS-M? If so...300+ easy horsepower in a lighter RWD chassis is my cup of tea...but then I'd just rather have a Supra...but I'd rather have an FD instead of a Supra....but I'd rather have a brand new RX8 that fits needs(got 2 kids)...and then Turbo that one day.....Ok.....Skyline? Oh yeah.....just buy a G35 and buy the overpriced "S-K-Y-L-I-N-E" badges.....

I'm not a fan of luxury cars. I don't respect rich snobby people and thier expensive cars. Having a G35 in my opinion is a luxury car. Give me that down and dirty race car and i'm happy. besides, i'll run over any g35 or benz with my jeep chamanche. It may sound redneck but i like them off roading trucks and my fast rice burring sports cars. Also, rarety goes along with the skyline appeal. rx-7's are rare but infinity cars aren't. i'm done this time.

Im with cheesy.. In NZ these R32's are cheap as **** easily < 8. The sedans are just that.. boring sedans but the coupes are much better of course without suspension mods theyre very much an old boat now.

My friend is building an RB30 for one at the moment, the short block on that thing would be right up there with the weight of a v8 tho.

The lowely GTS - M/E etc spec cars are generally **** in interior trim etc compared to the GTST and GTR.

Best thing about the GTST coupe IMO is the fuse pull for the 4wd.. pull it and your back to rear..
