the audi that he refers to is probably awd...which adds some weight also.

i think i know that TT makes quality products. but i would rather support futrell because the guy that runs that place is awsome.

Audi's feel really slow because, generally, they are on the softer side suspension-wise, the steering is pretty numb and imprecise and the rack is slow, they are pretty nose-heavy and tend to understeer, you are very isolated from the road, and they are a bit heavier than their VW siblings, even tho they chassis-share. Also, the AWD system, altho great in the snow, can only send about 40% of the torque to the rear, adding to the understeer, and it weighs a lot and saps some of the engines torque. All these factors together make them feel slow and uninvolved, even tho they may be able to move if they want to.

A buddy of mine has a early 90s VW 2door with a VR6 motor. Dang is that thing fast....



Nice car. I'm still trying to convince my dad to buy a FD. But I've conviced my brother to buy a FC. I guess you can't win every battle.
