The standard deduction for marrieds will be raised from the current $7,950 to $9,500 -- twice the standard deduction for single people. People who itemize their deductions on their income taxes won’t see any effect, but the majority of couples who take the standard deduction will save $155.

so the life of a child is now worth $400, woo. there's something to tell the anti-abortion people with signs like "can we put a price on a childs life", the gov't has repleid with an astounding "yes, 400 bucks to be exact"
