i used to have a tauras... a 91. the tranny blew on me one night when i was doign something illigal.... i was arrested.... i refuse to drive fords. Ive always hated them before i owned that car.

 

i had a 92 taurus.. motor trend rated it up to around 90 some odd mph.. i had it over 120 ... even with my friends bmw

 

It was probably a 300 whp Taurus too.
