He hasnt run his yet... but when my alternator was going bad and I had to shift at 3500rpms when racing him he was pretty fast

He swears up and down he will beat me.

But if you know a guy with N20 in an SI with the B16A2 motor only running 14.6 I have nothing to fear. Especially cause my buddy doesnt drive a stick all that well!

I have a friend with an N/A B16 in a '99 SI that ran low 14s a couple years ago...he's almost definitely in the 13s now...he gives me something to fear.

Twin89Stangs,

Dude, you're too much! Thanks for keeping my EC low (Embarrassment Coefficient.)

Incidently, I've had 3 'Stangs myself: 65 289 HT, 91 5.0 Conv., and a 94 4.6 GT Conv., the last of which was t-boned on the driver's side on the 20th day I owned it (the 16 yr. old chic in the Bronco called me that night and apologized.) It was the first year for side-impact bars and I walked away instead of being crippled, maybe, for life. Shortly thereafter I got a Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon, then the RX. And now the WRX Wagon is kind of the (nearly) perfect vehicle...Dave

(tried to attach file of bent 'Stang, but too big...)

There aren't very many cars worth playing with around here, either. It's not like back in NY, where I could get a couple good races every week.
Ames, Iowa ... No **** [heh]. Thats pretty cool. I graduated from Iowa State there back in 1999. I used to have a 99 black TypeSH Prelude then. I assume your a student maybe? A lucky one at that with a RX-7 [heh].

Back then I there used to be a really nice black Supra running around there along with a black and a silver 3rd gen RX-7. Other than that your right the pickins in that town were pretty slim . I was there around the beginning of May with my car. I only ran into a newer SS Camara with a couple of guys in it. I got him off the line (about 1-2 cars) and then by about 100mph I had probably about 4-5 car lengths on him I would say :bigok: Good time... and they were pretty cool about it too.

I don't know when I will be back that way but if I am I will keep an eye out for your RX-7 .

WRX has a lot of potential.

94 4.6 you say?

you mean 94 5.0? or 96-98 4.6?

Right now in Ames there aren't too many cars worth messing with. I don't see any Supras around, but there are some modded MR2s that are quite fast, and I see a black NSX every once in a while. I am a student here, and I bet my RX-7 gets a lot of attention in the student lot, when it's running. (it's almost done ) I live over behind the mall, and I actually had a note on my car from some girl (or guy with effeminate handwriting) that said she loved my car. That really made my day. Anyway, if you see me wandering around here some time, feel free to flag me down.
