lxk199 on this forum has one. I dunno about any problems it's had, if any, but it's a pretty nice, practical daily driver. It's kinda quick, for what it is, with a 5-speed. Rides real nice; comes with Mazdaspeed strut bar and a bunch of other MS suspension bits, I do believe, but you'd probably know more about it's specs than I do if you're researching them.

I own one, the Protege are on the top buys in Consumer reports EVERY year. We love ours, it's a great car and fun to drive!

Nice,

I have a 5 yr old daughter so I kind of need some type of family car, and my wife and I both like it.

like ZenRXSevem said, I have one...it's an awsome car! We (my wife and I) love it cause we can haul the kids (read: dogs) around in it comfortably. plus they look good and drive/handle very well. They are the best compact wagon on the market, according to every car review out there. The suspension bits are Racing Beat, though, not MS (oh darn, lol). It's got nice 16" wheels, a semi-stiff suspension (for a compact-mobile), strut and sway bars, and they come pretty much loaded. Ours came with a CD Player, moon/sun roof, a/c, 16" wheels (with Dunlop SP Sport 9000 tires!! w00t! ), 4-wheel disc brakes, all the suspension stuff, etc. all for about $16,000. It's definetely an awesome car. In the very near future (if I dont get ANOTHER FB), it will have a Racing Beat exhaust and Injen intake. Buy one, you won't be disappointed!
