So my sharing a burnout thread has gone... "Evil Furom" on me.

I had "not been flamed for having pitons" next to the link to this forum on my site. I guess I'll have to change that now and add this forum to the same catagory rx7club.com is in.

Somebody gonna ban me for having the wrong motor in my poor little RX-7?
no one flamed u... wtf are u talking about?

I felt it was time to do something different and run a motor that didn't mind making lots of torque all day long!

That car is 70 lbs lighter in the front now too, so it's better all around!
It seems by that statement you were just waiting for someone to step on your toes. No one really did. A bit touchy are we???

Why is a V-8 powered car different? They are everywhere. Different is a car w/ a rotary engine only one brand out there.

You yourself have a wesite called the wrong motor. Sorry for mistaking that you had a sense of humor and could laugh at yourself.

Honestly though why else would you come over to NO PISTONS to post about your PISTON POWERED car. Was it to show off?? Or was it to see if you could kick up a good internet fight?

I am sure 18 y/o kids are super impressed with this car. I mean its a corvette wrapped in a FC what red blooded domestic loving kid wouldn't love this car?

Nice install though really clean. I saw a pic of a hideous red one with a freaking hi rise manifold sticking about 2 feet above the fenders I was falling over laughing, at least yours is really clean.

About to head out of town but wanted to give you guys a minute real quick....

I don't pick fights! Never intended to. I actually thought I was sharing a cool burnout with some people that like cars, not just the 7's!

I've been driving and maintaining rotary turbo RX-7's since 1991. That's why I'm a member here. I have years of info in my head that I'm sure can be useful on the technical threads. For instanse, if someone needs help with a problem they can't figure out.

Soooo, I'm not the redneck that bought a RX-7 and put in a V8 and think he's God! My three V8 RX-7's were each dead, and were given new life and kept on the road. (Actually, I get pissed at those V8 RX-7 guys that have never had the pleasure of driving a rotary powered car.)

www.therightmotor.com now that's one bad *** Wankel. I'd take that motor in a heart beat!

I've noticed that people sit behind their screens and bash on some of the V8 guys, saying "you ruined your car", and "why would you do that to an RX-7?". However, EVERY person that's been in my cars, loves them. That includes many rotary owners, and some Ferrari and Lamborghini owners as well. And not to forget the Viper and Corvette guys!

So, I wasn't bragging about my LS1 car for having an LS1. I was bragging about what I though was a cool burnout, and my first donuts, ever!

Also, I could care less about impressing the "18 y/o kids". It's the 50+ kids in their Diablo's and blown Z06's, ect., that I have more fun impressing.

Last but not least, here's a good friend doing donuts in the same place, in his ROTARY RX-7. http://wrongmotor.com/videos/smaller%20burnout.wmv

Have a great New Years everybody.

Ha ha! Yep, I'm a cousin ******' one of those for sure! 'Cept I know how to spell.....
Ouch! you got me there my finger missed the ''w'' in my sentence! I'm with every one else; what did you think was going to happen posting a V8 motor in a 7? Don't get me wrong i only own one rx-7 and everything else i own is domestic. But when i started to build my 93 and having a ls1 sitting right next to it the last thought that crossed my head was to put that motor in my RX-7! The hole beauty of the RX-7 is the rotory and thats what needs to be in these cars!

Hey were you from? Just in case you forgot the beauty of the rotory maybe i could refresh your memory this up coming summer! I'm in central il. so look me up come spring! I have a little something for you!

Nice car. Engine swaps are part of the hot rodding community, get used to it! Chevys in fords, Caddilacs in Chevys (I've seen it done), etc

Kick *** vids! I love the V8 swaps. Think they're pretty cool. I actually thought about doing one in another dead FD... But I have some "other" things going on at the moment...

You can do it for under $5000 if you know what your doing. I went with the LS1 after killing 3 rotary motors in 10 years. I felt it was time to do something different and run a motor that didn't mind making lots of torque all day long!

Try 3 in one year, or 6 total in 4 years! I love the rotary, but the fact of the matter is there is no room for error. I'm starting to think more and more that an ls6 swap is the way to go. Problem is the motors aren't cheep.
