Those are tough to get away with driving on the street, though, wouldn't you say?

You can drive the Skyline to work every day, or on a track (they make awesome track cars).

And, just so you know (and maybe to sway your opinion https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR), the Skyline is well more than 280hp, that's a Japanese rating. There is a "gentleman's agreement" among manufacturers not to rate cars over 300hp, so they all rate at 280. On top of that, you're dealing with a twin turbo 6 cyl. Plenty of tuning potential, easy to knock that up to 700+hp. And what's wrong with AWD? Awesome acceleration, great handling, and nice and smooth at high speeds.

And then there are the smaller, less important things, like it's sweet looking and has a lot of cool gadgets inside. Finally, how many people do you know who have one?

Ok, you win on the availability of parts... Gotta spend a pretty penny bringing everything over from Japan, but if you had $100k to spend on a car, would you worry about that?

Yeah, an F1 car would be cool, but I'll take the R34. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

that was such a bullshit scenario........lol

it had cool scenes, but......... is it really that easy to just climb into an F1 car in the show room and get on the streets? but then again, its a movie

If they were fitted with turnsignals/other needed lights and were streetlegal you could drive F1 cars on the street i think. But i bet insurance would be a ton.

Yeah the street racing scene in that movie was the best..

their headlights would never meet DOT standard height

FikseRxSeven 02-26-2003 01:46 AM

the key to that is "if they were" and "streetlegal"

lol, that will never happen

im sure you can still drive it in the streets, and die gettin trampled by an SUV
