those two cars look nice but probaby dont have any ***** i watched the video and it looks like a bumpy ride cuz just going down that one street it was bouncin all over and they had all the specs except the motor specs unless i missed it.

 

If a 320 hp car that does 0-60 in 4.6 seconds "dont have any *****", then man, I want to trade cars with you.



As for the bumpy ride comment, I hear Indy cars have bumpy rides too. Seriously, one look at the interior tells you that the car's not optimized for street driving. I have no idea how well the car actually handles, but criticizing it for poor ride quality seems a bit incongruous.

Rewind forty years, replace "Koreans" with "Japanese" in your statement, then fast forward back to today. Chuckle at yourself, then reconsider the wisdom of making blanket generalizations.

So I guess we'll have to wait until the middle of the 21st century for good cars to come out of there. 40 years to catch up in this day and age is an unacceptable amount. That's way too far behind the power curve.



Fourty years ago Japan was still coming back from practically being bombed back to the stone age from WW2. Korea should not be that far behind. Granted, there are several differences but still...Korean cars have earned their reputation. What exactly is that reputation? It's generally accepted that it is B A D, bad.



One car model that might be a limited release that's of an unknown quality (has anybody here seen one let alone owned one to make a proper judgement on it?) but seems okay on paper does not make up for millions of **** poor econoboxes of lackluster quality.

 

My ex-wife was Korean(she was actually half Korean/American and spoke both Korean and english)...



...she was a freak...



...and I LOVE KALBI...

 

It would be laughable if the Koreans took until the mid-21st century to produce some decent cars, but that's moot point because they've already reached that milestone.



For example, from the J.D. Power 2003 Initial Quality Study press release:



Or witness Car and Driver's recent subcompact comparison test, where the Hyundai Elantra came in second, beating, among others, the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Car and Driver has historically been very down on Korean cars, so that test was somewhat of a coup.



I'm not saying that Korean cars kick *** or are the world's most reliable cars; I'm personally still waiting for them to bring a sports car I could get excited about over here. I am saying, though, that people who dismiss Korean cars as total pieces of junk are behind the times and are gradually being proven wrong.

I aint trying to knock korean cars, from what i have seen out here some koreans dont take care of their cars seen alot of tore up cars out here. I also seen in states alot of broke down hyundias and daewoos and heard problems with them. I give them props though for accomplishing as much as they did. Have you seen the article about one of big guys from hyundia jumping of his building, something about allegations of giving money to n.korea. it is just a shame that anyone from s.korea would help n.korea with anything let alone give them millions of dollars
