this info is so wrong, your supposed to change your fluid once a year or so depending on mileage and who you talk to
now if it hasnt been changed in a long *** time, like over 100k miles or so, the opinion of most is that its best to leave it alone.

so it's not really that wrong then? Did he state how many miles were on the car, nah, and Im assuming since he changed the timing chain it has about 80-90k on it. So yea, not really all that wrong in his case. But it really doesn't matter because arguing over the internet is teh winzor.
I thought you wern't supposed to change automatic fluid often... When you put new fluid in, it can cause the clutches to slip since the new fluid doesn't have the grittyness the old fluid did.
the statement about not changing the fluid often is wrong, it has nothing to do with changing old fluid.
I was not argueing, just clarifying the information

its at a tranny shop now
accord to my dad they said "uhh man, i think it needs a rebuild and stuff man."
soemthing to that effect
my dad said hes going to look into buying a new trans from GM because the shop came recommended but their warranty on rebuilt trans's blows.
so i have no idea whats going to happen to it. i only hope it gets fixed soon so we can steal a trailer and use it to fetch a fc or something.
