No kidding, another reason to do it in you're garage.

 

I hear the plugs are a bitch to change (individual coils on each one) and don't forget, there are 3 differentials to change the fluid in. The price is still a bit steep, but there is a lot of labor involved.

 

maybe. but 500 bucks is a nice chunk of change. i'd rather go through the headache myself the first time it needed to be done, so it wouldn't be so bad the second time.

 

Agreed, I cant afford $500 for labor, even if it is tedious.

 

Yah, normally I would do it myself, but I have neither the time nor the facilities where I live to do it. Plus, im planning on selling the car soon, and it looks better to a buyer if I have all the dealership paperwork showing its been maintained and has no problems.

 

if thats the reason, it makes much more sense now

 

the plugs are a pain in the ***... unless you know what your doing! the firs time we did a wrx it took about 2 hours, the second time it took 15 mins, first time we pulled everything outa the way and did it but the second tiem we unbolted the front engine mount and jacked the engine up a bit so it would clear the frame rails and it was really quick
