timing belt :S ive locked the cam shaft gear at cyl1 tdc ive locked the crankshaft at cyl 1 Tdc and i put the belt on round both and the watter pump put the tensioner on quite tight give the engine a few turns and the tdc marks have moved :S



HELP before i bent a valve and regret still having my rx7 in bits!!!!!!1

i dont know how you can bend a valve in your rx7 when it doesnt have valves

theres is no cams or a timing belt so i dont know wtf your smokin seymore cuz you aint lookin at an rotary engine

if the marks moved, then you have the blet a teeth off, or the tensioner moved it. move the belt a tooth and see what happens, if you feel it getting hard to turn, stop! only a german car would bend valve putting a timing belt on though.

nah, the germans hate you, but like your money, they want to make it easy to bend a valve

my bad didn't realize this was the "other cars" section however i just looked at your screename/garage and it says only rx7 no mention of anything else so....eitherway good luck fixing it
