Mike #2 uncle is selling his ae85 for 1k. It has something like 300k on it, but the driver is like a grandma. Its supposed to be in GOOD condition.



Other then i have to do a swap on it for another engine. Prolly a 4ag motor, Or what ever i can find cheap.



I have to go check out the car first. Is 1k a good price? Even though i have to buy a new motor for it?



How much are motors for these things?

go to club4ag.com for info on many swaps. Many have posted acpmplete how to on this. I did a 85 to 86 swap once with afried and will never do it again. You will find it is more than just a motor swap and for the money the 4ag is not that powerful.

 

Well i'm not looking for power. Its just a commuter car.

i used to have those cars the last one i built the motor and i put a holley in it i think

i was the 1st one with a setup like that .

those cars are reliable do some mods exust headers , intake msd . stuff like that and you

They're a nice car. My buddy has a stock AE86 thats been really good to him. As for the 4ag, if a reliable engine is your goal, its a great engine. Another freind of mine put a 4ag into his first gen celica. Drives the snot out of it and it keeps going. And if its going to be your daily, its great on gas too.
