crap, the AWD G35 is the sedan. its still a nice car though.
Yeah that's what confused me, why put it in the sedan?

My friend tried to convince me that AWD is a "safety feature."

Yeah, right. Nissan/Infiniti needs to get their U.S. **** together!

- the current g35 coupe in america IS a skyline in japan

and they are coming out with the v35 gtr in japan and the same car in america....

nissan is separating the skyline and the gtr from the same car
So now GTR will be a model distinction, not necessarily a car, just like VR-4 is to Mitsubishi?

no....

its gonna be Nissan Skyline..... and Nissan GTR

Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4

the skyline and GTR have the same body and chassis (the g35 one), but the GTR will have the drivetrain from the fx45... and either the v8 cyl engine from the fx45 or a vq35det (turbocharged g35 engine)

and the skyline will jsut be the g35 coupe with the vq35de....

A Skyline with a V8 though? Seems so weird...

I dont know about that. There are only two classes (gt300 and 500) and engine swaps are allowed in both as long as its from the same manufacturer.
