After our driving school we get fun runs. Traditionally its sort of like a wife swapping party minus the wives plus the cars. We all will usually take each others cars for a spin.
I had my Mini there that day as my RX-7 isnt done being broken in. I had plenty of opportunity to trade for rides as everyone was very curious about the mini.
I drove the Z-06 first took it for 2 laps around the course. It had decent grunt but I was honestly unimpressed w/ its acceleration. I guess chevy wants it to be a 170+MPH monster because it seemed to have really tall gears in it making off the line acceleration and from a roll acceleration tough.
I also felt like I was driving a tank. The car is so freaking wide it never once felt nimble to me. I was impressed with its initial turnin it seemed very responsive especially for how heavy it felt. The abs worked well too. Nice car but in all honesty it did not feel one bit like a 400HP beast to me.
Then I got to drive a Supercharged Miata putting 280 to the wheels. It had a full racing suspension and damn!! It was a blast. It pulled so hard off the line and at speed. If I pushed down my right foot my brain hit the back of my skull. That car was mind bending. My *** dyno said it was everybit as fast an my TII. That was confirmed when the owner said its a mid 12 second car. I loved how fast and hard that supercharger came online. I would own one of those in a second!! To take a turn in this car was to love it. Some much feedback and the slightest throttle or steering input could be felt immediatly. The only thing that I did not like was the lack of ABS. My RX7 lacks it too and it is definatly handy. I locked his brakes a few times in the short time I was driving it and had to modulate them quite a bit to get her to behave.
Hmmmm.....13BT Miata w/ a supercharger instead of a turbo??????

a friend of mine has a turbo 195rwhp miata, and that car is a freaking blast to drive. with the t25 on there, it spools almost instantly. incedentily, it's for sale, but there is no way i can afford it right now.
