[quote name='rowtareh' date='Sep 7 2005, 12:49 PM']Dude, an Acura is a ******* honda. It is just a more "luxurious" honda. It's the same with Lexus. Just Toyota's "luxurious" line. Big deal.

VW is looking into buying Proton? talk about taking over... they own like, half the world's auto marques. I wonder what that means for the next Esprit... cant have it competing with the Gallardo now

I can't say I have never driven in a TL, nor seen one up close. It looks like a really nice car, just don't know the specs on the car. Never really cared to look.

We also got the new Commander in, and wow, what a waste of money. Jeep put that thing out just to say they had a 3rd row SUV. The 3rd row is ONLY for kids, and the 2nd row ain't too great either. Cockpit is completely different than what is normal in a Jeep. It looks like the interior of a Benz.

every one of those smaller suvs 3rd seat is a joke, then figure in it takes away from cargo space, more room in a full size car.

it has a nice amount of space, if you put down the 2nd and 3rd row seat. i thought the commander was going to be HUGE, but I was disappointed.

I thought the Commander was going to be bigger also. I thought it was supposed to be a good amount bigger than a liberty. Just for your reference some specs on the TL are 270hp, with available 6-speed transmission, 238 lbs-ft of torque,

3472 lbs curb weight with navigation and a 6 speed, and voice activated nav, radio, and climate control. For a sticker of $35,670 it pretty much has it all there. Can't do much about the front wheel drive, but it does look damn sexy with the factory body kit.

Those are some really nice numbers. What size engines are available? And by the looks of it, I thought it was RWD. It easily compares to the 300C with the luxury features, but kicks it's *** in reliability department.

I thought the Commander was going to be the size of an Expedition. They claimed third row, but it just sucks. We only got one in so far, but the handling, ride, and performance is top notch, just that third row blows.

The TL only comes with a 3.2L. The only performance option is the 6 speed which also comes with an LSD. The luxury features are great, all are standard except nav. Bluetooth, HIDs, leather, 5.1 suround sound, XM, etc all standard. Try to talk your dealership into doing a trade with a local Acura dealership for a day. You can drive a TL and they can test out a 300. We have done it with Lexus and Infinity here. Its nice to put yourself in the seat of a competitors car, and romp it around town.

I guess your Commander won't be going up against our MDX anytime soon, with the non-functional third row.
