Though all this engine swapping talk has me thinking about trying to do a 3.4 SHO V8.... trick will be trying to find a way of getting a 5 spd for it... unless I can do something with the front drive setup tranny....

lol may have to find a machinist.......

Sorry I can't remember exactly where but somewhere in granny's speed shops site (they need somebody to go through their site and re-organize, its a total mess) But there are a few people who did some interesting swaps with the SHO motor. One of them was into a Lotus Espirit, the guy seemed to have LOTS of disposable income though. If you can find the page I'm talking about maybe you could get some ideas.

I had an 81 Buick Regal with the 3.8 V6 non-turbo, why anyone would want that pile of **** 3.8 V6 is beyond me. I had more issues with that motor than any car I have every owned and it only had 36K on it. The rest of the car was quite solid, but the 3.8 was ****. My buddy had a cutlas with the 305 and it was far better vehicle.

The turbo 3.8 is a pretty strong and I have heard reliable motor....

305's on the other hand..... eeeww.... hahaha....

LOL, I dunno what exactly the diff between the turbo and the non-turbo is, but I am pretty sure the one I had was the aluminum block and it was a pile.

Dont know... but I know that 3.8 has been refined over the years and is still in use... More so than ever in Gm's line up!

Almost every model can have the 3.8 in it... there are a few that cant... But it is suppose to be a decent motor... But I have heard good things about those turbos and dont know what major differences there are... but you can bet on the pistons and heads being slightly different and the computer of course being different.

O.K. O.K. lets not forget that Dodge produced more turbo motors than ANY other car manufacturer,EVER! Don't dispute either that the Shelby GLHS Omni can probably beat most (production)cars on the road. My roomate bought one wrecked and has plans to put it into another Omni. They are widely recognized as a "geek" hotrod, but I DARE you to find a car with that small of a motor and that miniscule of a weight that can compare with most other "stock" turbo cars. They may have the same sex appeal as a VW rabbit but there aren't many cars out there that can compete. Yes it may have been built by the tuning god Carrol Shelby, but really, in comparison... well there is no comparison with what Shelby can do with a machine. To put in in cheeseball hiphop terms "you can't touch this"

All hotrodders and car crafters should strive to make a car with that much power to weight ratio as this little nerd bomb has.

GLHS stands for "goes like hell; shelby" by the way...

If you can make a near stock sleeper move like one of the Shely's Omni's I will personally be your car slave for the rest of my natural life.

It ain't pretty but it'll kick many other turbo cars quarter mile times... can you believe it... look it up

Dodge ain't really so bad if you really look close, is it?

Well what about the GT90 Concept car?

4 turbocharges on a V12!

exhaust so hot that had to use the same type or panels on the space shuttle for the back of the car!
