ok i pulled up to light last night & this dodge avenger pulled up next to me. he the took off but the funny thing about all this is he has decals of dodge "viper" all over his ride. now is it at all possible that he has a viper engine on his avenger? or was he just flashing a bunch of viper stikers all over his car just so he can look tuff?

But that would be a sick swap. Did they take off like a rocket? You should find out about that ****; 'cause that would be nuts if there was an Avenger w/ a Viper motor in it.

 

Avenger = FWD. I find it hard to imagine someone went through all that effort to swap in a V-10 I really dont think there is room for it.



If you are asking if there is a Factory Viper Avenger the answer is no.

 

you know, since the avenger and vipers are identical... he probably thought everybody will think it is a viper

 

well, i also have an avenger i mod along with the rx7 and can give you guys the facts. cant find the pictures i was looking for but one member of one of the evenger forums has a red one with yellow dodge decals and avenger decals on the sides, he also has a TC1 bodykit (also called the viper kit). you might of saw him.



actually a few people have swaped v-8s and RWD into avengers, i know at least one of them is street legal. and with enough money anything is possible. i wouldnt doubt it if some one has droped the viper engine into the avenger, since it is the vipers baby brother.



one more thing, the avenger chassis is based on the galant and remember the vr4 galant, 4WD turbo 4 banger (hella fast). so the avenger chassis already has the mounting locations for the rear end, just some simple brackets and you could bolt on the diff. i know 2 people that are working on this swap as we speak, they should hit the roads next year some time.

 

ive always liked the avenger as a dd car... thought about buying one. I like the idea the viper and avenger were based off the same design. Infact i believe the viper got its original design from the avenger if i remember right, and then they modified the hell out of it. lol
