Three brake jobs in 50K miles and you're worried about $24 brake rotors? As long as they're made out of metal they have to be as good as you started with, no?

Maybe you better carry brakes in the trunk just in case.

I find all brake rotors warp eventually. Atleast on the Subarus.

Just get the Duralast. I almost got NAPA white box rotors for 12 USD a peice. Then I thought twice and bought some better ones for 20 a piece.

I have tried many pads. EBC, HAwks, Gransports... etc... I find that I always go back to Hawk HPS.

You should post on the Audi forums. I'm sure there are plenty of threads about this on there.

Some places to look for parts that I like.

www.autohausaz.net

www.pelicanparts.com

www.brakewarehouse.com

www.performancepartsstore.com

Napa

Keep in mind, that is big heavy car and if driven spiritedly will need some good brakes.

I have found several different sizes (and prices), depending on particulars. Not sure you knew it was a 2001 A6 quattro with the 2.7 twin-turbo engine.

Aw, poop! Looks like I need a 320x30mm and the Autozone ones are 288mm. I guess I'll go with the Brembo's since Audi wants $149 for theirs, made by Lucas.

Well, there's a couple different sizes depending on quattro or not, 2.8 vs. 2.7T, etc. I'm probably still going to pull one off and measure the damn thing before I buy new ones.
