you can definitely get 40s on a 15 inch rim. i used to have a 85 chevy k5 blazer with a ram jet 502, turbo 400 auto tranny, np205, 14 bolt rear axle, dana 60 front, with 5.13:1 ring and pinion and arb lockers, 15x14 wheels and 44x19.5 boggers with only 4 inches of lift. i miss that truck. my rx7 is the only thing i have ever owned that wasnt a 4x4 with at least 38 inch tires.

Besides my FB and FC, I used to have an 87 4runner, 4" lift and 33s but rolled that in the snow playin around. Now I have an 88 toyota 2wd prerunner project, and am trying to get another 4runner from some relatives. Plans for that include a solid front swap, 5.29 gears, detroit lockers front and rear, marlin dual transfer cases, cage, 37" boggers, high steer, rear taco leafs in front and 62" chevy leafs in the rear, and maby a 4-link setup in the future. All I need now is a diesel to tow all my ****.

I have a 90 Wrangler with an SOA conversion. It's fun to drive, works great in the winter and you can take the top off in the summer. I've had it for 9 years, longest I have owned a vehicle.

Nice Nice guys, I am looking at upgrading to Dana 40's and 60's on my truck but we'll see I don't want to sink too much money into her, as she'll be my DD until my car is ready... god forbid it takes more then a year to get my car up and running... if it does... well **** happens I suppose!

You can still get a nice used Wrangler off ebay. Get a CJ-7 with the 4.0L(or 4.2L) I-6. That motor lasts a lifetime. Do a nice 2 or 3" lift, do a 2" body lift, do some 33's, and you will have a blast with it.

I took mine bogging today for about 20 minutes and fell even more in love with it again. And it was mostly dry out.

Always gotta take somebody with ya though. Or get a nice winch. But if you are in empty field with just mud, good luck with that winch!

Going mudding on sunday though, hopefully it will be nice and muddy.

Lucky! hope you had/have fun...

Yeah I'm going to do a killer winch setup... one up front in my mad bush bumper I am having made. and one on the back that I can attach to the hitch and hitch wiring.... pus prolly design some form of anchor if I do get stuck out in a field... something that I don't need someone else out there for..... so... I'll do what I can and see what happens...

1999 explorer sport is what i used to roll in. It was a fun truck with lots of memorys (ask RX7man629 if you want all of them in detail) but with me going to school the truck was out of the picture becasue of fuel cost and the distance between my house and school. When i am done i will have a 4x4 once again but i can't decide between a older hummer or a new FJ.
