If you are going to go through that much trouble why not use a FC with FD parts? It's not as though you'll be seeing the maximum potential out of either engine. A decently modded kouki turbo 13B putting down at least 350rwhp will be plenty for a Miata.

In a Miata it'd be even more. But it's nothing a 13B from an FC with a nice little T-04S couldn't do easily. Hey, if you're going to go through that much effort, might as well do it well.

Plus, what's wrong with a engine from a FC? I feel a bit slighted here. The 13B-T can do anything a 13B-REW can do once the upgrading process begins.

The trick is to use FD internals when rebuilding a 13B from a FC.
