"being one myself, I have a knack for identifying them"

I dont know boostd7 or dDub, just seeing that they are trying to get pass the situation without addressing it. I dont like how one "sponsor" called other sponsors to not support the NW group. that to me is just plain fukd up. Just cause they dont wanna face warrenties or hear their name get dragged to thru the dirt, I think thats uncalled for. But hey, you burn your terroritorial area and friends(probably most of your customers/return customers) what do you expect to happen? Might be able to strong arm the forums and ban people, but in real life, word of mouth will effect business and personal relationships.

I just didnt wanna see everyone think its okay and go back to the other site.

plus we run the chatbox!!!!

The other NW forum is like a ghost town. Other than a few posts on the Apple Blossom stickie, nothing is happening. People stop by to look, but no one is posting.. it's like people are stopping by to look at a train wreck. The new moderator stated a few days ago that another person is being asked to be co-moderator, but obviously that other person has refused the position, and I don't blame him/her. After what happened to Deena, anyone in their right mind can see that it has become a lackey position now, doing the dirty work and thuggery for people with money. And Dee refused to do that, so she was fired. It's all about protecting the sponsors now. It's sad to see how far that forum has fallen in such a short time. It's disgraceful what Ryan has allowed to happen, but it's his karma..

It's interesting that the Atkinses visit this website almost every day, and they haven't said anything of substance. It would be nice if they answered two questions -- whether their lawyer actually served legal papers on Ryan, and also what action the papers demanded of Ryan. I think it is obvious that the exodus (caused by the Atkinses) has taken a huge toll on the old website, and if the Atkinses want to maintain an adult presence on this website they should answer those two questions in a simple and straight-forward manner, otherwise they look like ghosts passing through.

I like this website very much. It's nice and comfortable.

the funniest thing about all this is that what boosted don't want people to do to atkins, well he lets everybody and anybody do it to Gregs. there are so many threads bashing him it's pitiful. yet it's all right because he doesn't give any money.........to anyone. lol

On a personal level here....I figured after moderating for Ryan for a couple years, not only in the NW section but in a few other sections such as the "good guy bad guy", Lounge, and all the classified sections, that he would have at least given me some reason why he fired me by sending an e-mail or PM, or catching me on AIM. Even if it was "hey you're not doing your job to protect me and my sponsors" would have been something, but nothing along with ignoring me, shows me that he really doesn't care about the people that help him in his forum. Never in the past 2 years have I really seen Ryan thank any of the moderators and admins in his forum. I know the amount of time that some of the moderators spend trying to help in the forum. What is ironic is that I had looked up to Ryan. However, he has lost my respect after seeing him post things such as "all you no body's", and basically calling people "liars" and the way he has treated regular members. It is all of those "nobodies" that buy from sponsors so that sponsors can pay him, but he along with some other sponsors seemed to have forgotten that. He jumped to wrong conclusions by just gathering pieces that he collected off the forum or only listening to one side of a story. Although he may claim that he heard both sides of an issue, those were just empty words.

I know there's more behind the scene stuff and politics as usual, but oh well, I only will buy from sponsors that support our causes and things. thats why I figure when Kettleman makes that page, we can do our own "thing" and show that we deserve sponsorship.

And we dont have to worry bout ONE sponsor trying to influence the others.

I'm just glad we are all on the same page (webpage and thinking).

i enjoy not seeing every single post over here and atkins in it, i am not completely sure of what happens, and i am not trying to get into it in any way, but i do enjoy not having to deal with them, i agree with most people in the fact that a forum should be able to talk about good/bad experiences and not get banned or deleted because someone had a bad experience with a single shop, only becuase that shop supports the forum, because of all of this, i do have to say i will more than likely NOT be buying anything from atkins...

dDub is a pompous ***. Being one myself, I have a knack for identifying them. The forum will hardly have improved under him.

Uhhh... No.

I know Drew and he's not a "pompous ***" as you so (ridiculously) say. People have a way of coming off differently via typing than they do in person. Take someone's "writing" with a grain of salt. I know I'm probably completely different in person than I appear over the internet.

Drew is a pretty nice guy. Someone has to do the dirty work left over there, and not an easy job I might add. Ddub is a bit more strict, but thats just him wanting things to go smoothly, unlike me where I allowed personal feelings to get in the way at times. He is just more of a tech person, but doesnt make him a bad guy. Takes a tough person to do that job, and that I was not. Change is always good

Given that I was referring to his ability to referee an internet forum and judging that by his internet persona, it wasn't a ridiculous statement. /shrug.
