I've heard lots of good things about Pineapple. Aren't they in your area?

If you can get up here to Seattle, there is Atkins.

i've had no personal experience with atkins or pineapple. but it seems there have been some unsatisfied customers with atkins. i've heard zero horror stories about pineapple.

just something to think about.

Pineapple, as far as I can tell, is the most respected engine builder in the U.S. Atkins is well known, but there have been issues with how he does stuff. Pineapple has done many, many engines. So far I have yet to hear anything bad other than cheapskates whining about paying for brand new stuff. Do not let his prices scare you off if you think they are too high. From what I hear, you are paying for the best.

If you do good work then maybe, just maybe, one in ten people will say something good. If you do something bad, one out of one people will broadcast the bad news. All I've heard is good from Pineapple.

I've been there and he knows his stuff, treats you with respect (doesn't dumb down the conversation), and his shop is immaculate. I have not been to Atkins so I can't comment about the shop or Dave.

You are in Portland. Get off your duff and check out Pineapple. You will like what you see. Plus it's in your town. How much more convenient could it be for you. Just go there see it for yourself.
