alright guys, hope you all had a good Easter. But today my 7 broke down on me. I was coming from church and I got to the stop light and my dad pulled up next to me and starting revving his car; so my brother and I who are in my car start laughing. SO the light turned green so I was like ok i'll just spin the tires a bit, but nothing major. The tires started spinning then bang! She wouldn't move anymore. So I got it to roll to the side of the road. I sat in the car and tried to shift into first and into any gear and it would shift freely but would not catch all I would hear was a rotating noise. Now I have heard this kind of noise before and it was a blown clutch. So eventually my dad and towed it home. Now just to let everyone know I dropped the clutch at about 2500rpm and it is about two and a half years old and I had it installed at mazdas and more..so yeah that doesn't help having it installed there after hearing all these horror stories from that place. BUT yeah if any of you have any input of what in might be please let me know. I'm having it towed down to a local tranny place. And I am hoping it is something simple...because if it is not I will have to part with her. Also when I was towing it home I heard alot of noise coming from the tranny ( the same noise I heard trying to drive it) please help me

doubtfull that the tranny went out. remove the inpection plate and see if you can check out the flywheel or see any clutch material. When my clutch went out it happend when I was revving it in neutral (no load on the clutch). I was surprised when I pulled the clutch and saw little if any clutch material left. Kettlman should remember it because he was the one that really did most of the work when we took it apart.
Just do some easy checks first. U joints and driveline would be easy enough to check out. Hope you get it figured out soon.

well the shop told me that I sheard the spindel in my rear end. SO with the noise from the read end transmitts throughout the driveline and tranny. So the noise seemed to be coming from everywhere. A few years ago when my rear end started to go out on me it made alot of noise but the noise transmitted all over the place so it seemed like everything was broken.
