A few things...
Allen(spokanerxdude) I like the new sig. The picture of you in it made me laugh. So many people place their cars in the sig and not them.
Deena, don't worry about it.
Ok, here are a couple updates. I have been working like mad on the car. Got about 75% of the fuel system installed. I am stuck from the pump to the tank however. I am afraid that I am going to have to drop the tank. The a1000 requires that a 10AN line(.5") be installed from the pump to the tank. I called Aeromotive and they said that yes the line HAS to be 10AN. You need to make sure that the pump is not starved for fuel. And anything less would not be adequate. Anyone that has experience...cough cough codeblue2 please tell me what you did.
So tonight I will have to crawl under the car and take the dimension of the line. If it is not 1/2" then I will have to drop the tank and install a new pick up.
Also granted that I have time I plan to stop by the radiator shop tonight and give him my completed rad support.

1/2" pick up tube eh? Well that is a good thing for me since I have a SE tank...perks of having a SE I guess.
Well tonight I dropped off the Aluminum parts to get welded and I dropped off the Radiator at the Performance radiator.
Radiator size will be around 18"x13".

Well greg our fuel problems were not due to gas tank problems, but heating and tuning issues. Yeah plans are to change out this gas tank if need be. I guess theres one in the back yard that we can use. If it aint one thing its another huh....

hey just so you know, the pickup tube is enough in the GSL-SE only to feel the pump. The SE and the 12At got a different fuel tank (has baffles) and pickup tube than the other first gens.
Directfreak on the rx7club had excellent results by using weld on -AN fittings to the stock pickup tube. He used -10 for the feed, and -8 for the return.
Dropping the tank isnt so bad either. Getting those straps back on once you put it back in SUCKS

Looks like I have Crazy Phyco Eyes Of course that helps when you own a rotary.

Matt I will be dropping the tank. I am aware that the only thing that pretty much hold the tank in is the straps. I am mostly worried about getting the filler neck back in the same location.
Good luck on trying to find someone to weld the gas tank up for you. Any person that knows anything about welding will usually not weld up a tank that has been previously used. If the pickup for the stock tank is .5" though I am in business. I did not have time to crawl under the car last night. Plus I just busted my jack. I will have to pick up a new jack tonight or tomorrow and see what she has. If Aeromotive says that 10AN line is required by goodness I am going to trust them. The spent thousands of hours in R&D on the pump and would know better than any sole rx7 owner.
