So, when's Keith's car getting painted, and are we going to get a play by play on it too?

Ok to be more informative....

Every weekend we have painted a car. Crashlys, Bstrange's, Spokanedudes, and next k-mans. I think keith is going to have to wait till after abf because he still needs to have a motor/body swap done like asap. Theres just not enough time in a week to do a motor swap and prep and paint another car, along with all the interior and whatever else needs to be done.

Plus Blue is coming home possibly this weekend....so no more painting here until the weather gets better. Everyones cars also need to still be wet sanded and cut and buffed.

Some of us need to still do repairs on some of our cars also. I know IoTus needs some work done before abf if its going to make it there, and the truck needs rear brakes.

Ahh... thanks for the info... so Keith is going to swap bodies, huh? weird. Body damage that bad? I was talking with him about some "rear end noise" It sounded like the rear U joint of the driveshaft was going from the sound of it. I'd had that problem before and picked up a new (used) driveshaft. I'm thinking that's prolly all it is, specially since he got that racing clutch. those are hell on driveshaft U joints. Didn't think he'd want to get rid of that RB rear end, anyway. Sure, it would be faster off the line with a stock rear end, but boy, it gets better mileage with the RB one.

Hey, when I come home, I'd love to swing by and check out Blue after his/her heart transplant. (Is Blue male or female?)

Good luck with ioTus and have fun with rear brakes. I hate them... done too many.

It's not the u joint. He deffinately bent the right axle. you can watch the housing move. Most of the panels are damaged in one way or another. it's fixable, but would require a ton of bondo. I wasn't aware that it was a rb diff. any idea what the ratio is Chris?

Do stop by when you get home and check blue and IoTus out. IoTus was sounding like a truck for a while, but is back to normal again. Its been too cold to work on anything.

It doesnt seem like you have been gone for a few months, Im sure your missing home big time. See you soon.

I'm not sure what the gear ratio is, but I do know that at 70 mph, it's 500 rpm lower than any other Rx-7 out there...

The stock rear end would make his car faster off the line, which he would prolly like, but the RB gears are for gas mileage. We all want the Rx-7 to get better gas mileage, right? lol.

Deena - Yeah, when I get back, I will have been gone for 110 days. Dang, it will be good to be back in the states!!! I can't wait. Can't wait to see Code Blue... I'm sure under the hood is just gorgeous. I'm assuming you'll be dynoing it at ABF... I'll be waiting for the numbers, as I'm sure everyone else will be!!
