It wouldn't have been a big deal.

I should be solo on the next run so someone can ride with me. The wife is going to have school on Saturdays.

hey dys - out of curiosity, why are you swapping in GXL brakes?

The GXL and Turbo models have 4 piston calipers and vented rotors up front, single piston calipers and vented rotors in the rear. The standard braking setup is single piston/vented in the front, single piston/solid in the rear. It seems like a good idea to have more stopping power, so I pulled the braking system off my GXL before I sold it. I'm putting it in my GTU with some nice aftermarket pads, rebuilt and painted calipers, braided stainless brake lines, and possibly some new rotors if the old ones can't be turned.

Of course, with the progress I've made so far, this will get done sometime next spring... I need more money and more ambition!

No problem, man. Sorry for assuming that you were the other dude.

That site has a ton of other information on all models of the RX-7. Its a pretty good read if you've got the time.
