Yeah... I've never had any *real* issues with Atkins. I've done nearly $2k worth of business with them, for rebuild kits etc. and I've always been aware that their seals are pretty soft. That being said, I've broken multiple apex-seals. Then again, I knew this and simply accepted my lot. Plus, I kind of enjoy rebuilding my motors (seriously )

Regardless, I'm sure there wouldn't be so much bitching unless there were grounds for most of it--so I can only shake my head in pity for Atkins. I'm pretty sure that Atkins isn't necessarily greedy in the sense that they're indulging themselves in EXCESS, but instead I think what they are is DESPERATE... They run a pretty extensive and expensive production and that's where their only income comes from, right?. I would guess that their business hasn't been doing that well these past couple of years (with the intro of RA seals etc.).

I will say that they made a major business mistake when they didn't put their loyal customers and friends first.

....Enghh, kind of like shooting yourself in the foot.

Count me in. As I don't have the money to fix it, my RX has been in my garage for a year with a bum motor - (of course it was out of warranty. . .).

well I have to admit, I like Dan Atkins, and I haven't had a personal experience with atkins at all to persuade me otherwise...BUT, Atkins has pissed off a lot of good people it seems, and I have to take the side of the consumer. And to Codeblue, if it helps any, I liked Iotus alot better than Codeblue, so maybe its time for another turbo seven!

Well you might change your mind here soon I am taking my car to have everything Supercharged removed off my Blue car, and will be doing a Turbo setup better than Iotus's. I know that I better take this off my car before something does go wrong. At this point if something does go wrong with it, Id be out a lot of money since I'm sure all this has pretty much guaranteed me a NO warranty.

I think I'll feel better anyway getting more HP out of the car. In the beginning when I bought this setup they posted that the car would render about 271hp. I'm not sure what more I could do to my Blue car to get that kind of HP, except change to Turbo.

Last year, Dave Randall from the RROW club dynoed his Cartech-turbo'd 13B FB... it dynoed at 258 hp, and he was still tuning it a bit. He did some nice burnouts in the parking lot, too. It really makes you appreciate a well-sorted turbo'd engine..

Can I join the boycott right after I get my solid corner seals? LOL!!!
If they were any good mazda would switch back to them. The ones with the round hole seal better and are less likely to crack from vibration or detonation as there is no sharp corners for crack to start and create less friction.
