to get the flywheel off just whack it a bunch of times with a piece of firewood. worked EVERYTIME for me.... the best tool ever

 

firewood works pretty well... I'm more of a "big rock" kind of guy myself...

firewood is EXCELLENT takes off jspec flywheels with the quickness

 

I was kinda thinking that was what I was gonna have to do. I was wacking it with a large hammer but I really couldn't get a good hit on it. I am heading over there in a few minutes so I should have some pics of the engine tonight if all goes well.

 

you kind of have to shake it loose. the wood does a good job of that and makes it POP off keep the flywheel nut on there so it doesn't fall on your foot LOL

 

Rotors anyone?

 

Here is our broken coolant seal. Hard to believe that this little **** caused all this..

i was amazed.... i saw block of wood next to jspec...... rotors started turning BOOM flywheel off. you didn't want to see how long it took me to get the FIRST one off ah jeez hours!!!! goddamn that sucked.



so what do you need for your rebuild ? a sidehousing or two ?
