Mike, let's worry about next spring, next spring. By then I may be able to talk my wife out of more of the milk money for more bits and pieces although keeping up with your horsepower may require many, many bits and pieces, like M-2 ball-bearing turbos.

I have more to go I think. A 1.70 is not a particularly good 60 foot and my launch was only at 6,200 RPM.

I want to see your beast run next Friday night. And I don't know what I have to do about a roll bar between then and now.

I know Mitch Piper in Virginia is the world's master at RX-7 rollbars. Anybody else come to mind?

I dont know about roll bars but if you find someone to do a NHRA legal 6 point cage for a decent price let me know.

The announcer said the far lane crtosses at a 11.80 an the near lane...he must have had problems at a 19.12 at 42 mph!!

As far as EIP they were pulling the car around and I need to rebleed the brakes which I told them they were spongy but I guess they didnt tell their fabricator cause he swung it out of the garage and BAM right into the front end of a $40k showcar!! They are going to pay to fix it but it is still frustrating.

BTW if anyone ever needs some custom fabrication work done EIP DID GREAT WORK!!! The intake looks incredible and the exhaust is beautiful and sounds BADASS!!! Actually the way they made the intake when I stand on it it sounds like I have a huge turbo cause the sucking sound at the filter. My intake temps on the way home were 65.8°F all the way home which is probably pretty close to ambient for friday night.

The decent price is the issue. Mitch Piper gets $2,000-$3,000 for his cages.

What does EIP stand for?

I'm heading over to MIR today and watch the serious racers. I thought about running in the "Street Class" until I read the rules and found that "Street" includes single turbos with nitrous & the likes of Paul Efantis.

Specator I will remain.

I am not sure what EIP stands for I think it is Eastern Import Performance but I am not sure. The specialize in VW's but they do fabrication work and they are pretty good. Their website is www.eiptuning.com

Screw 3000 for a cage. If you look at scca racing sites on the web they have a lot of cage and chassis guys that do excellent work and are ok in price. I priced on for a custom 6 point tieing into the rear towers they wanted maybe 12-1500. The only problem was they wanted the car for 2-3weeks which I am not willing to do during good weather. That is definately a winter project.

I really wanted to head to MIR. Yeah Paul is pretty sick. He is a friend of mine. I remember when he was happy to be in the 10's!! christ now he is in the high 8's last I heard. It isnt fair to have him in a street class yes his car is streetable but christ he is running a powerglide tranny, try shifting that fast in you 5 speed...aint gonna happen since he only has low and high!!

He was running in something else besides street, "quick" maybe. He is a rocket.

It turns out I could have run in one of the pro am classes & I should have gone down there on the et streets. I would have been close to the slowest anyway but they ran a pro tree & I have never done that.

Farrell was running a customers IS300 in the pro am class & ran an 11.4. Pretty quick cars.

Shepard was there, Efantis, Demetrious. Lotta speed!

Sure would have been fun. That is the only drawback to me for doing the swap. I cant compete in any of the import classes any more.

I think Paul runs Pro street tire or something like that..
