FD THREE S

I got a FD3S thats been sitting for last

5 months with a blown motor.



Need info on what to do and how to do it.

Who should I have fix it local to Washington DC.



How much it likely will cost, with a street port..



Does anyone know who MIKE VERTREESE is????



I received a letter from Darcars Mazda, saying he is

a master ASE tech, that specializes in RX7 and

rotory engine.. With the ltter, I get 10% off parts

and labor.. But I am really hesitant to take my FD

to a Dealership.



Does Demetrious still do RX7 work??

Should I go get a Reman from Malloys??

and take it to a shop for streetport and install??

Or just let the shop take are of it all??



Any tips, recommendations, advise???

I got 130k out my orginal motor.

Want to do my 2nd motor right....

Hi, I live here in Maryland and know that dealership. I would nopt take it there. If it ios just a blown engine then I would get a reman from Malloy. Swapping the engine out is not hard. I would help you do it if you have space at your home to do it. it's either that or you can pay PFS or someone a few grand to do it for you.



Is the car a stick or auto. That makes a difference in time.

Oh If you want it ported also it might just be easier for you to take it to Peters.

My guess is it's gonna run you $6000. But call there and find out for sure.

your motor back in??



This is what I want done.



Reman motor with Street port.

While motor is out and etc.

Want to upgrade my secondary injectors to 1300s,

Go Non seq, turbos and tune PFC w/commander.

From my understanding D is backuped and is stopping work to consintrate on his own project. Your car is sitting at the gas station off 301 right ? kinda under a cover. Are you sure the motor is blown?

absolutely positive its blown..



Felt the " PING " then the

car barely stayed alive and is dead.



While i kept it alive to drive it to where its is at.

The car sounded like a Lawn Mower with a bad

exhaust leak..



Shieet. to D is backed up and not taking no more work.

Damn, must mean, he made a BUNDLE of $$$$ .



So I guess its either KD which is backed up. Or PFS

which seems really expensive..



Anybody else out there that can do it?????

why don't you buy a reman and swap it in yourself ? its not that hard. pay for beer and food for fd3boost and all them and you can have it in and out and in one day



porting is nice but it is not 100% necessary



do you have any idea why you ran lean and it pinged ?

Sean , Ryan told me it was $5,100 for the engine,install and port.

Most likely your turbos are gonna be on their last legs too.



Try atkins or Pineapple racing and see how much they want.

I will definitely help you put it in the car.

I am thinking about the porting and rebuilding for you.
