Well, it looks like I've fully joined the ranks of the MRCCFL List's of banned posters. I was able to post under my screen name, but that has come to an end after I asked about the current status of MRCCFl financials, elections, and list moderating.

Therefore, can someone give this poor Charter member an idea of where the club is at present? Are any officers left? Is the officer list functioning? How many members have been banned from the list? What is the status of the financial records? Is Jerry still a signatory on the bank account? Did the bank account ever get setup so two signatures were required for withdrawls (different then just two signatures on the account)?

If these questions seem unreasonable for a member to ask, just let me know.

I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

I responded to your email to the list, but as you can see, it never made it through. I don't know if you got the personal reply I sent or not.

It's up in arms. Noone really knows the status. The powers that be aren't talking.

Are any officers left?

Someone posted in another thread that the only remaining officers are Ian and his significant other, Karen. All of the other officers have resigned.

Is the officer list functioning?

If it is, and the current officer status is like I mentioned above, then the only people with the answer to that question is Ian or Karen since they would be the only two on the list.

How many members have been banned from the list?

My guess (I do not have access to banned or moderated members) is in the 15-20 range.

What is the status of the financial records?

Noone knows. All we do know is Ian now has all of the money for the club.

Is Jerry still a signatory on the bank account?

No. He resigned his position.

Did the bank account ever get setup so two signatures were required for withdrawls (different then just two signatures on the account)?

The last I heard was the funds were transferred into the account Ian setup with Karen as the cosigner. Considering their relationship outside the club, this is not a wise move.

If these questions seem unreasonable for a member to ask, just let me know.

Not unreasonable at all. Every MRCCFL member should know exactly what's going on any time they ask, much less Charter Members.

Club at present?

At this point, we know that a lawyer/s have been retained.

Brian is no longer a candidate for president as a result of his membership being revoked by Ian.

The website is also up in the air as Ken has resigned his position as webmaster. The newsletter also at this time is on hold as Ken stepped down from newsletter editor also.

Everything else is up in the air as we all await what Ian will do.

Any officers left?

As of now the only officers still left are myself and Ron. Which brings the total to 4...Ian, Karen making up the other 2. But before the holidays both Ron and I were asked/told to resign our positions, being that we have no control over anything Ian can very just remove us at will. So that will leave Ian and Karen in control of the club and its funds.

As for the officers list I don't think that is up and running as a result of the lack of officers.

Jerry?

Jerry posted before that as of the 1st of this month he resigned his position. As of now he is still the second signer on the account. However, Jerry did also ask for his name to be removed from the account within a certain time. This again put things in Ian hands to get things done. As of who will be the second signer, at this point its quite obvious that Karen will become the second signer of the account.

No your questions are not unreasonable. I wish more questions be asked by the rest of the members both paying and non paying.

Sorry for the first screwed up post. Meant to say.

How does that work? Revoking membership is a disciplinary action. According to MRCCFL Bylaws Ariticle 3.6.6 disciplinary action is by a majority vote of a quorum of the board. As such, the President, acting alone, cannot revoke membership? Are we ever going to adhere to the bylaws?

I'm at a total loss here. I had a feeling he was going to SOMEHOW eliminate the elections, but I wasn't sure how he was going to do it.

Ian has brought way too much shame on the club because of his greed for power.

Answer one simple question:

Did you contact Bernie and air MRCCFL dirty laundry??

Team140 01-07-2005 02:40 PM

No. I contacted Benry to have him confirm or deny what Ian was saying about the SS organizers thought of me.

I figured as much as Ian claimed to be talking with Berny that he would at least keep tabs on the club. I know if I was going to consider a club across the continent with my event's name, I would be at the very least an active lurker in the club.

In a nutshell, I asked a specific question, not going into details about club business other than "the club is up in arms with the current administration" and I got an honest reply.

Jims5543 01-07-2005 03:15 PM

The rotary world is very small......smaller than you might think.

Ian banned you for good reason then.

Ah. To each his own. So far you are the first to think that way. Going to the source to confirm or deny statements made by others is not a bannable offense in my book.

Seeking the truth is not wrong.

You were not an officer of the club. You had no business doing what you did. You made the club look REALLY bad in the eyes of others. You have done irreversable damage that you cannot even realize yourself.

Again. Its a stupid car club. The damage you did goes way beyond wether or not your the president.

I'm a former officer of the club, as well as Charter Member #19. I am by no means a "newbie" to this club. If you think talking to Berny was damaging, you should have been around to see what had been doing behind the scenes for the past two years or so. Your jaw would drop.

Jim, I must have missed something. What did Brian do that was so bad? Who is this Berny guy? I'm confused.

Simple. Jim doesn't like him for two reasons that I can see:

1. He's going V-8 in his rx-7. Jim doesn't like that.

2. He suggested to change the logo name: MRCCFL back to The Rx-7 club of FL.

So, by this, Jim has to judge Brian by stupid reasons, in my opinion. But hey, to each their own right?

Jims5543 01-08-2005 12:34 PM

Christi - Your an idiot.

P'Cola FD - Brian called Bernie and aired dirty Laundy.

Wether or not he did damage isnt really the issue. Its the fact that he overstepped his bounds and had no right to call acting like he was in charge. He is merely a member like I am and nothing more.

BTW - I am Charter member #25 so whats your point??

I dont like Brians agenda and I dont like his "dirty politics" in order to gain presidency. But, thats all a mute point because his stupidity got him ousted from the MRCCFL and banned from the mailing list thus loosing his ability to be elected president.

I could nto give a rats ass wether or not the MRCCFL is here tomarrow. Its seems like it has been affectively destroyed from within. Wether or not it was Ians doing or other members is a mute point.

Sorry Christi I dont have an agenda I really dont care but I am tired of all the mud slinging and that has been going on sice Brian threw his hat in the ring.

Eh... I don't think so. You have no idea what was said to Berny. I did not air dirty laundry. I asked whether claims against me were true or false. How in the world is that airing dirty laundry? MRCCFL politics of Ian's behavior otherwise was not discussed. Until you know the facts, I'd suggest that you just watch from the sidelines.

I had the right to contact Berny. It is my right, just like anyone else's to contact whomever they feel like. Besides, Ian was making a direct stab at my character and it needed to be verified. You're not a member as far as I can see. At least not a paid member. Charter member and a paying charter member are two different things. I (am supposed to, according to the bylaws), have a say in how the club operates and can run for office, you cannot. We are not in the same member category.

BTW - I am Charter member #25 so whats your point??

Maybe you were at one point, but you are no longer a paying member according to the site, so your argument here is null and void

Nobody can please everyone, that's a fact. If you think my politics are dirty, you obviously haven't been paying attention to Ian very well. You don't like the agenda of having members VOTE on what goes on in the club instead of one person making all of the decisions? Whether or not people liked my ideas, they were all to be voted on by the membership. The CLUB would decide the fate of MRCCFL, not I.

I could nto give a rats ass wether or not the MRCCFL is here tomarrow. Its seems like it has been affectively destroyed from within. Wether or not it was Ians doing or other members is a mute point.

True. It all started collapsing about 4 years ago.

Sorry Christi I dont have an agenda I really dont care but I am tired of all the mud slinging and that has been going on sice Brian threw his hat in the ring.

Ian started the fire, I'm just fighting back. Remember, it was I who was POUNDED on by members at first, especially Ian, Karen and Christi. Ian and Karen are obviously holding their ground because of their positions in the club, Christi has seen the light, like most of the initial haters of me.
