Hi guys. I am from Montgomery Alabama and just recently picked up my first Rotary ..for better or for worse because I havent been able to get it started yet *scratches head*

Its an 87 base model, Auto (5 speeds swaps are within my abilities so im not worried) I got it for 400$ , one owner car..been sitting for a couple years..the first thing I did when I got it was change the oil and filter, Drained the gas tank VIA drain bolt, Replaced the fuel filter..before I even tried to crank it.

Reasonably clean..In fact the interior is cleaner than the 92' 240sx I was driving...

Ive followed the deflooding procedure on www.rx7.com several times...including the "complex" method

http://www.rx7.com/techarticles_unfloodFC.html

It got a little more "oomph" during cranking attempts after I turned it over with the plugs out and the throttle opened...and put the ATF in the plug holes..but it still didint start. I dont think I added enough, 1 tblspoon per bank as opposed to the recommended 2tblspoon (one ounce)..and the second time I tried it (I used a ******* meat injector) it just splashed right back out the hole onto the ground ugh.....cleaned the plugs by spraying them with starter fluid, put them back in and the "oomph" was noticably less..(Probably not enough ATF to build compression).

I dunno..Ive been doing the deflooding **** for several days off and on and I just get so fed up with it...

But im facinated by rotaries...they are such ingenious motors! 3 moving parts, The rotors themselves perform all necessary pumping action ..so no valve trains...no complicated mechanical assemblies..and boy are they smooth...I drove an FD once and its like heaven. ^_^
