him- "i don't touch those rotarys i don't know anything about them, doubt many people do."

me- "well sir, im just asking you to do some piping."

him- "yes but don't they have 3 cats?"

me- "yes, but if the cats are leaking you could just put in a pipe or repair it, couldnt you?"

Sir, My Brother (Who's married to my Sister, which makes him my Brother and Brother-N-Law) used to have one of those new fangled rotary cars. Som-tin about a ingine that goes round in circles ain't quite right.

Thinking you could get anything done right in Alabaster was your first mistake. Sure, if you needed your tractor overhauled they could probably help you out, but an actual car....

Actually.... taking apart the cats is ILLEGAL and no exhaust shops will do any piping for you. Unless you're smart and tell them you're using it for something else, but most will figure it out fairly quickly......

so... I beileve your attitude towards him wasn't fair at all, he doesn't want to get introuble with the law if they ever found out. That, and most shops don't work on rotaries. I remember a while back someone's rx-7 got messed up by an exhaust shop, and since then, I think that is why.... they won't touch them. I could be wrong though.

I didn't even see your post until I posted. So it wasn't even directed at you, but the person who started this thread.

It's Exhaust!!

Who cares what the motor is??

V8, V6, Rotory, Hybrid!!

It's Pipe!

What's next??

"Naaa, I can't get you tires. I won't touch those cars! Rotaries need special rubber, Ya know."

they'll do piping with no cats on if you come in with no cats.

this shop put straight pipes on my friends 76 malibu when he cam in with just headers

and its not jsut exhaust shops that wont work on rotaries in the entire jefferson/shelby county area i have only found one person who will work on rotaries and he has already ripped me off once

and besides how different is a rotary exhaust pipe than a piston exhaust pipe (besides the heat factor)

... still i press on and do most of the work myself

btw im not trying to **** you off, im just commenting

and yes alabama rednecks are funny when you dont want them to do somthing for you

We all know rednecks are funny. She is just trying to give him some insight in to the matter. The Blue Bomber:You might as well get a race pipe.I doubt anybody will touch it unless you say that it is for off road use.
