What trans did you end yp going with? If you're doing just a rear wheel drive you have a couple options. Is the out put end of the transmission you have in it now near the same location the stock on was? If so you might be able to use the evo's driveshaft with a custom front u-joint connecting the rx-7's slipjoint to it.

As far as the trans tunnel, that can be heated and hammered to fit the trans, just make sure you've pulled all the interior away from the area you'll be heating up so you don't set the car on fire lol

I was just concerned the actual stick might end up where the parking brake is located....LOL!

Haven't really pulled the old engine out...

I was also thinking of using a diff from a first gen Starion....

Apparently it's a 3.5 raio... would it be better to use this??

i heard the rotary will go through the gears like really quick and if I use a 4.2 ratio i might need an additional two more gears LOL!!

info please gurus!!!

Lol the first couple gears go quickly but 3rd goes from 60-90, 4th from 90-160, 5th, I have no idea lol. Those numbers are for an fd trans with 4.11 rear end and 19" rims
