Well figured Id fire up my first post. I just purchased an 88 GTU for 500 bucks. The car had been sitting for 2 years. A friend of mine helped me get it running again (it used to be his before the guy that had it sold it to me). Anyways she fired right up and it seemed like one of the apex seals was sticking a bit. After letting it run for a while it let free and now I have a good running GTU. It needs quite a bit of work to be any kind of decent reliable good looking car. This however is gonna be my toy. It will have a fully gutted interior aside from dash door panels and seats. Already is sporting a koyo radiator, emissions are gone, short throw shifter, came with a full set of energy suspension poly bushings and has a manual steering rack. The car is white and has about 140k miles on it.

Now a bit about myself. My name is Jeremiah Im 26 and I reside in Jacksonville, AR. Im in the Air Force and am married with a son due out of the womb any day now. I am no stranger to the car scene or Mazdas for that matter. I am new to Rotaries. I seem to pick up on things pretty quickly so Im sure ill get the hang of the rotary pretty quick. Prior cars include 91 240sx, 93 Escort GT (mazda BP engine), Festiva that was in the process of a B6T swap, 90 Celica Alltrac, 98 Subaru Impreza Outback sport, and my last car that I traded in for the wife to get a new car 05 SRT-4.

Looking forward to learning gobs of info from the boards and meet some new people on the way. Maybe make a deal or two on the For sale threads, who knows. Thank you to admin for providing a sweet info packed forum for guys like myself.

Thanks, Jeremiah.

P.S. Pics to come soon.

Sweet.

Got any pics of the Festiva? Were you familiar with Simon (the Pimptiva, www.pimptiva.com)? He had a B6T Festiva show car, air bag suspension, custom body kit, paint, etc.

Grats on the kid too.

Unfortunately the only picture I have of the Festiva was with the engine sitting in front of it. I never did complete the car as my friends AE86 decided to catch the shop on fire and the car was destroyed. I have pics of it after the fire lol. I know of the Pimptiva and Simon that car was pure sex minus the airbag setup.
