Well, it really depends on the car. I'm SURE at 140k mi it's had a rebuilt. you should find out when if you can.. then have the whole thing checked out by an independant rotary mechanic. Check the turbos, too.

Whats up everyone im new here! my weapon of choice is my 93 base model. my mods are as listed, 99 turbos, ACT 9.5lb flywheel, RPS carbon clutch, short shift kit, greddy turbo timer, greddy power extreme exhaust, M2 downpipe, M2 ecu. flowed and matched injectors by marren motorsports, twin K&N filters, looking for an M2 air box, full Hose Techniques silicone replacement, fluidyne radiator, jacobs rotary pro pak ignition amp w/magnecore 10mm plugwires, and NGK platinum plugs, also sporting a cosmo fuel pump. I installed the 99 turbos in december and blew the motor only two weeks later. So i had Rob Golden at Pineapple Racing build me a stage 2 motor with a mild street port, oil mods to the internals of motor, and oil mods to the pan itslef, new rotors, housings, plates, and bearings, all then cryotreated. I finished installing the new motor with the practically new turbos last saturday. I have less than 20 hours on the new motor and running no boost until 1500 mile marker. For the exterior I have the veilside c3 full body kit, custom ruby pearl paint (Akzo Nobel), blitz type 03 wheels-18x10 rear, 18x9 fronts, with toyo proxes T1s tires. For suspension I have the full Tanabe Sustec coilover kit, but plan on upgrading to full GAB super-R. The interior is untouched besides, the timer, 3 gauge "A" pillar pod sporting VDO oil temp., VDO water temp., and VDO boost gauges which match the stock backlit gauges perfect! If anyone would like to talk please mail me.... THANKS!

New here. Originally from P.R. but I will be living in San Diego for the next 4 years at least. Owned a 1988 Convertible which was real nice, but it had to go because I am more into going fast than looking good. Sold the convertible, bought a DSM, totalled it and now own a 93 base which will be turned into a drag car. Current mods are Koyo Radiator, Apexi AVCR, AST elimination, 4-Puck clutch, DP, MP, emissions completely off (yeah, she stinks during cold starts), non-seq twins, Royal Purple everything, boost & water temp gauges. Not installed: Aeromotive FPR, HKS timer, T04B, 1600cc injectors, Walbro Fuel Pump, short shifter, slicks, cat-back. Planning to go lightweight, and possibly go with LTX-8 or Power FC, but I haven't gone that far yet. It'll be a low-budget project as you can see, there's nothing fancy about it. Hoping for 375 @ the tires.

Hello there! I just discovered this forum and have been reading through for the last couple of days. I don't own an RX-7 yet, but I'm still looking. I was scouting around for an FC about a year ago but ended up with an '87 MR2 first. I think it'll have my money tied up for awhile though (I'm still a poor grad student), so I don't know when I'll get an FC, unless someone wants to unload one dirt cheap?

So for now I'm just gathering info and trying to learn from everyone else's experience.. This place seems pretty cool compared to some other car forums I've seen .. It's very much like the MR2 forums I'm on - nice people, willing to help and low noise.
