the only people complaining about rotary reliability are those who dont know how to work on them properly

get a decent condition car to start with, dont try to "go cheap" and get a "cheap" TII and think your gonna save $ cuz you will get swallowed into a black hole especially if the previous owner "abused" the car.

Plan to put up at leat 5K for a decent running TII (86-88 s4's tend to be less $ while the s5's May be a little more if they're in really good shape) with ok paint. and start from there, DO NOT get a cheap 1500 dollar TII unless your ready for a headache and a long term restoration, Cuz thats' what its gonna be.!

You can find MANy good deals of the forsale forum here, and of course many of THESE rx7's on the forum for sale were obviously taken good care of by enthusiasts. then look into the RTEK system if you get an s4, i'm not sure if they came out with an s5 version yet, but this computer will allow you to upgrade your injectors slightly

do NOT get a 3rd gen without getting a TII first, most people who get a 3rd gen without owning/maintaining a TII first are the ones who end up selling their car in 6 months cause they dont know how to fix it and taking it too "professionals" would cost $ (notice i put the word professionals in quote, 99% of mechanics would even wtf to do on an fd)

there's my quick how to on owning a turbo rotary
