As some of you know I just got my FD, well I busted my *** to get it through inspection and get all my paperwork straight, so the day came today and I finally got to drive the damn thing....it ran like a dream...pulled so strong it was almost scary, it has to have more then what that dyno sheet said cuz holy hell...and this is coming from a guy that has friends driving C5 vettes, anyway I went to McDoogals cuz that is where all the local rice boys hang out, as I cruised by of course i gave them a little tease and revved it up a bit, just to the point of BOV release, then i continue through the lot and head back onto the highway...one of them followed me and his little civic never saw my front bumper.

Anyway as I head back to go to my buddy's house the car just dies on the off ramp...I started it back up before I came to a complete stop and made it back to a parking lot that was right there and it died again, thinking maybe cuz it hadnt been ran i charged the battery, still no go, well i sat for about a half hour and couldnt think what to do, until bingo it hit me....I had just commented on how little gas i had used considering I had driven about 30 miles and my needle had not appeared to move, so i go get a gas can and put 3gallons in it and bingo it fires up...how embarrassing, although after I got going i noticed a really low idle...approximately 800rpms...any ideas?

this also made me think how it got through inspection with a faulty gas gauge...unless that doesnt need checking to pass

800 rpm isn't low, should be about 750 anyhow. I highly doubt they inspect gas guage for a state inspection. Thats not really embarassing, embarassing would be waking up next to a dead stripper only to find out it's a dude and forgetting to take the $80 you paid for a lapdance out of his purse prior to disposing of the body.... now thats embarassing.

I know that 800 normally isnt low, but it was 800 right away, with no warm up period, normally it will kick down after I warm it up, but that time it just wanted to be 800 lol anyway yeah what made it embarrasing is that of course all the rice boys were there and wouldnt to say something about how junk rotaries are and the only reason i decimated the civic is cuz i blew my engine up doing it...
