It's been a while since I have been on the forum so I figure I'd chime in and re-introduce myself, mainly because when I say a while, I mean a year plus and I can't remember if I ever actually did the new member introduction. I'm 26 years old, bought a pretty worn '87 Turbo II from a buddy of mine who had upgraded to an RX8. She had been sitting idle for a while so the fuel system had all but rotted out. She's also suffering from the standard compression issues and worn out rings. Whenever I'm home I've been putting in work here and there and about have the fuel system restored. Next up would be doing a rebuild on the motor proper and seeing if I can add a bit more life to her. Came here because I would like the ability to do my own research and wrench work and I know forums are a great place to start when it comes to things like that.

Welcome back,good to see another one being brought back to life,as theyre truly beautiful cars once all the bugs are worked out,are you planning on modding or keeping her stock?Shouldnt be to hard to just sit motor back in place till u get a manual, pretty staight forward,make sure all wireing&hoses are clear, clutch,pressure plate lined up and release or pilot bearing good as well as motor mounts and you can at least sit it in engine bay for now.Good luck with your project!

 

Whats yor plans for her, any mods in her future or you gonna keep her stock? Any begining pics? I'm also building a 87 t2,but far from stock,going all out with this one,streetported semi pp, ps1000,gt45ed street/strip beast.
