I am doing an engine swap in my 88gxl to a 5.0. I would like to keep the "active suspension"- the button that allows you to switch from normal to sport suspension. I don't know if it ties into the ECU- which is, if possible going to be ripped out. Does this system stand alone? If so is there a way to permanently enable the "sport" function? I would prefer to have both so I could choose one or the other for Drag racing or autocross type racing.

Any info?

The AAS system has it's own computer. It will work without the stock ECU.
