well , ive been looking around for a car for a little while now and ive set my eyes on a 86 gxl that my friend was wanting to sell for $2000. I told him today that ill give him the 500 sometime this week to hold it and the rest later in the month . So i just wanted to introduce myself and you all know what im already starting to plan for it. Since the kid didnt know even what model it was (because its really his brothers car). I did a little research and found out that the gxl model came with a lsd and the and all the goodys. the only thing that it has problems with is the gearbox is about as loose as a cheap hooker and there is a smoking problem when it rev's over 3 grand. Im not too worried about either one though. Im looking to do a jdm t2 set up in the near future and Ive already done the research and priceing to do the setup. well anyways , just wanted to say hi everyone.

Wow, looks nice! Welcome to nopistons!

That sloppy shifter can be fixed with about $24 in parts and about 10-15 minutes of work. After doing it, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
