You Honda haters crack me the **** up
Maybe you should tell them what you drive!
Let's see...a turbo Civic SI is probably putting 350-400 to the wheels; curb weight of about 2700 lbs. A Supra is putting maybe the same amount to the wheels, but weighs about 3600lbs.
The Civic (or CRX for that matter) is the perfect sleeper because no one expects it to be fast, until it spanks your ***.
This weekend at NOPI a turbo Civic SI put down 423HP to the wheels w/o nitrous. That's a mean car.

My friend has a 350 FWHP Eclipse he cannot break mid 13's with it because he cannot hook the thing up. From a 40 or 50 MPH roll he is leathal from a stop he is a smoke show. On the dyno he is a hero.
I'd love to know how much that dude with the 423 FWHP Civic spent getting there. How many blown engines? I would imagine he has spent well over 25K building that car. What does he do with it?? Impress everyone with big dyno #'s??
Big horsepower doesn't impress me a well balanced car that is fast everywhere, turns, straights is my idea of an awesome car.
But like W.C. Fields once said "There is an *** for every seat".

Great reply Jim.
Dyno specs don't mean **** in a basket if the car can't perform on the street.
Slightly funny thing noticed today. A group of Honda owners congregated in a parking lot, with their systems(sound systems) blasting. Drove by and pulled up to see what they were talking about....over the loud rap music I barely overheard some garbage about one wanting to race an RX for a pink slip...should've challenged but he'd probably bitch out after 10 secs.

don't get me wrong. I don't hate any hondas, I hate the Honda drivers that have a stock honda and think it can take any car in the world. I'll be the first to admit, my car is not fast, but i'd consider it quick.

the thing pulls very hard.......
my buddy with his SR swapped 240 raced him a few times.
got the jump on him at all the stoplight races but on the highway the kid pulled on us by a car or so.
