del sol's arent that quick there was one here that had like 4k into his b16 building it to handle a turbo and he only pulled a mid 16, but i talked to the kid and he was just waiting for time to put the turbo on, after turbo i think he said 13's or somewhat.....????
civic del sol VTEC pulled a 15.8 from the factory. he possible had the 1.6L non VTEC model which only produced 125HP as opposed to 160 and that version ran a 16.5.

I'm his friend with the Del Sol,I blew up my old D16z6(SOHC vtec) with a 75shot zex....My new motor is a JDM B16a siRll (2nd gen,DOHC vtec, hydro tranny,Factory LSD,170hp 116tq) All I have is bolt on's(AEM c.a.i,DC 4-2-1 header...ect) we raced off the line but my tires are BALD! so he killed me off the line due to me spinning the **** out of my tire's through first and second.....Off the roll's he got me 4 out of the 5 time's we ran em we were pretty much matched up one run and I got him one run....But ya I gave him mad props! cause I kill rustang's on the regular,His car surprised the **** out of me! And ya I'm going with a Jackson Racing "Stupid charger" cause I need the low end "on demand" power cause im going into SCCA auto Xing I don't like the lag that alot of turbo cars that I've been in had the power is great for the quarter but not at all what I need it for. Here is a pic right after I got the swap...BTW my car is a high 14 sec car.

yeah surprisingly the del sol is actually very heavy. i believe that the del sol siR actually came with a B16 and only ran a low to mid 15. btw good kill.
I gutted the trunk and some of the interior...The Sol's are actually 600lbs lighter than the Teg GSR and only 200lbs more than a 99-01 civic SI.....and Aaron I think I might look into getting a 3rd gen 7 next summer when I finish the Sol You bastard! I was looking at all them site's you showed me

oh yeah i don't doubt the TII beat you they're surprising cars. i'm just saying that a del sol with a B16 VTEC with work done is running a **** load faster that a damn 16 sec 1/4 mile. and a high 14sec sounds just right. and a let me tell you about SCCA, auto xing : you will be in your high RPM band almost the entire way through the track. ever seen thoose races, thoose guys arn't dropping below 4k the whole way around the track. but a supercharger is good too. i can't remember are the jackson superchargers twin-screw types or roots?

umm...supercharger is so much better for autoxing than a turbo... please learn about the subject before you post and spread misinformation

you need low end torque for autox as much as possible.....yes you are over 4000 rpm most of the time, but you dont need SPEED for it once youre up there, you need the most power (low end torque) when you are coming out of a corner or after braking, so you can accelerate quickly

supercharger is better than a turbo for autox

if it was dry out the bald tires were advantageous.
