It was an older 5.0 Mustang LX coupe. The guy driving it was about 19-20 years old. He passed me on the road then slowed back down. I just idled by. He then caught back up and revved his engine at me. It sounded mean. I gave a rev back (couldn't help it). We caught a light together and I told him his car sounded mean. ( I love building them up for the fall) He answered back yeah its got some work done. It idled like it had a cam it was shaking the whole car and was pretty loud even at idle.
He said he liked my BOV. The light turned green and we both hit it. I took it easy out of the hole about 1/2 throttle. He pulled about a car ahead. Then I stood on it at about 5K in 1st. Took it to 7K ans power shifted second. I litteraly flew past this guy. I really could not look at him though I was having a really hard time keeping it pointed straight. I must have had to correct it about 5 times while I roasted my 255 tires in second. By the top of second I was an easy 20 cars ahead. LOL!! I let off and let the flames fly then moved over to turn left off of the road. He hung back and never caught up. Finally he had to go by as I was stopped waiting for traffic to clear on the other side. We both gave a wave as he quietly putted by.
I do not get many people stepping up anymore. I would imagine this will take care of the Mustang crowd in town too.

Since I could not find anyone else that did this it was unexplored territory. I had to have a lot of custom parts made. I went the expensive route did a lot of things that I didn't need to and went with more expensive parts but could have gotten away with cheaper ones.
Motec M-4 with wideband o2 alone cost over $4K. HKS single kit form sportcarmotion cost $3500. Then there were lots of other parts. Like the engine it cost me $2,300 and had 22K confirmed miles on it.
The whole project probably cost just over 15K. The car is rock solid though. It withstood three 30 PSI spikes in an Autocross in June. Not too many can claim that. So all the overkill in my book paid off. We fixed the spike problem BTW.
I did some of the work but a majority was done by a mechanic that specializes in custom fabrications. He builds race cars from the ground up. I knew I was in good capable hands. I am too busy with work to be able to spend the time on the car I wish I could. Plus I did not want it laid up for over a year. We got this done in about 4 months.
