well my car isnt a totally worn out 14 year old seven. it has 24K original miles on it, and i do care about my car just as much as he does about his rx-8, i know him from high school and this kid is just another spoiled brat from maple grove, probably doesnt give a **** about his car, and i donmt think he knows a damn thing about rotary, but anyways yeah i think i have a little more driving experience than he does......too bad for him.

i seriously doubt a 15 yr old car with 15 yr old stock (worn) suspension and a 15 yr old design would beat an RX-8.
Ignorant statement. You don't know the condition of his car, you don't know either drivers, the Rx-8 got beat. Enought said.

Age really doesn't matter suspensions on the FD will be as good as an 8 if the car was maintained and more HP and less weight means waaaaaay faster.

I just did neopreme bushings on my 93 and at the track was running very close times to my friends S2000 and those things ******* handle
he must of sucked at driving...rx8's handle very well, better then or equal to stock FD's.

anyways, awesome kill. I hope I can line up with a FE one day.
Yeah....thats what I hear. He must have been afraid of what the car is capable of. Plus it is brand new and I wouldnt screw up the suspension that early in the game. But still a good race.!!!
in SCC they watched a video from mazda where the rx-8 is keeping up with an fd on a road course, but the 8 couldnt keep up too well on the straights.

Well if you have bald tires, that doesn't mean ur car handles worse. Bald tire has more surface contact with road.

Plus the stock tires on RX-8 are crappy probably and this guys being cocky can't drive worth ****.

Good kill thought with basically a stock TII.
heh, nice theory, and at one point i also thought the same was true. but as i learned, its not. as a tire wears down, the material bemoces harder. the harder the rubber, the less the contact surface. so even if its a bald tire, the grip is a lot less than it originally was, even if it is completely bald.

as for the race...its amazing that a basically stock FC can take out an rx8....very nice kill! it makes us wonder if the kid could drive/if it was the top model/if he was still brekaing it in...but all that really matters is that he was trying his hardest to beat u, but he couldnt. good job
