Dont race him from a roll. Unless he has some really good tires, he will spin his *** off and you will have no problem until he hits 3rd gear. I say this only b/c my friend has a GS-R in a EG hatch w/a couple of bolt ons and he spins a little into 3rd gear with a shitty clutch. Betting or not, good luck and have fun.

How about you just buy my FC from me and race him in it?

Then you can say "Sure, I'll bet you $100...and give you a 5 second head start too. See you in 3rd gear."

b16's and all hondas are OverRated!!! I use to have a 95 integra ls w/a type R head/and it was hella weak.....i didnt have a vtec ECU only RPM switch....but that **** was gay....17.5 1/4 mile....and my last honda was a 95 civic coupe w/a crv B20 motor and it was also gay!I think my stock D16 was quicker.....GO 4 IT ....Launch ur **** good And raise the bet to $100

I don't know what you did to your car to make it run a 17.5... But obviously something wasn't right.

Stock LS-VTEC w/ intake and exhaust in an EG or EK hatch will run a 13.1 with good tires... My friend has one, and he has the time slip to prove it.

With some nice cams, lightweight flywheel, upgraded clutch, vtec controller, and an ecu added to the intake, exhaust, and tires, it'll easily run low 12's.

Oh yea, and it still gets like 25 miles to the gallon.

B16A is a pretty generic motor for Honda. They come in many of their cars, but here are the most common:

B16A JDM 1992-1995 Civic SiR

B16A JDM 1990-1993 Integra Rsi/Xsi

B16A JDM 1992-1997 CRX del Sol SiR

B16A JDM 1996-2000 Civic SiR

B16A JDM 1992-1997 CRX del Sol SiR

B16A3 USDM 1994-1997 del Sol DOHC VTEC

B16A2 USDM 1999-2000 Civic Si

Sorry for all the useless information, but I happen to be a fan of Honda. They make good cars... I hate rice... But I can appreciate a well built and reliable car.
